  • ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY or PRINCIPLES OF ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTION 
  • CHEMISTRY OF THE ENVIRONMENT
  • INTRODUCTION TO MICROECONOMICS
  • ECONOMICS OF ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT
  • INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
  • INTRODUCTION TO ENERGY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 
  • INTRODUCTION TO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
  • ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS
  • ENVIRONMENTAL POLITICS or GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLITICS 
  • CAPSTONE: ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES



Three Lab sections: 
Students must complete three lab sections in biology and/or chemistry approved by their advisor. 

One course in statistics, choose one of the following:

  • STATISTICS MATHEMATICS
  • STATISTICS PSYCHOLOGY
  • STATISTICAL METHODS

Environmental Studies Elective Requirements:
In addition to the core requirements you need to take five additional classes, two of which must be upper-level,  from an approved list of environmental studies electives. You should consult with your adviser to find out which classes would best serve your professional interests and career goals.

Total Minimum Credits for Major: 57



Note: Many of the courses in the core, as well as the electives, can be used to satisfy your general education requirements. You should consult with your primary advisor as soon as possible to set up a program of study.
